ALEXANDRIA, La., May 28, 2021  – Southern General Agency, one of the Southeast's most trusted managing general agencies, announces that, beginning July 1st, its wholly-owned subsidiary general agencies (National Security Underwriters, SGA South, and C&W General Agency) will consolidate under the Southern General Agency brand. The unified organization will be managed by a single management team. The move will vastly improve service to agents, insureds, and insurance companies. For agents, the consolidation will create a large team of well-experienced, professional underwriters available to provide excellent service.

Southern General Agency understands and values the relationships built between underwriters and agents. Agents who wish to do so will continue to do business through the underwriter of their choice. All existing physical locations will remain in place, staffed by the same talented people agents have come to rely upon.

E-Mail addresses for all locations will be changed immediately to use the  @southerngeneral.com domain.

Agents will find no significant changes to the way they do business with Southern General Agency and should expect to hear from your marketing representatives very soon with more information. Additionally, from July 1st on, all web traffic for both existing and new agents will be directed to a redesigned website at www.southerngeneral.com The redesigned website will make it faster and easier for agents to find the information they need and to perform essential tasks. In the coming weeks, additional features will be added to the website that will further enhance our agents experience. Some of these changes will include an updated agency portal that will allow agents to view and pay statements and invoices online, set up ACH accounts, use online raters, submit quick quote applications, and more.
